Coastal Chic: Sun, Sand, and Dior at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is a village of villas stepped down a hillside to the water, on the quieter southern curve of the bay. We came here for the second half of a June Bali trip, straight from the jungle at Sayan, and the switch from river valley to beach is the whole reason to do both. One is green and still. This one is blue and social.
How We Booked It
The same Preferred Partner package that ran the whole trip
Both Bali resorts sat under one booking, made through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor instead of either hotel directly. We paid the advisor once, up front, and that package carried the room, the inclusions, and the transfer between the two resorts. Nothing was owed at either front desk on checkout. For a two-resort trip that could have meant two separate folios and two separate negotiations, having it prepaid as a single package was the cleanest part of the logistics.
Our take: Four Seasons does not sit on Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, so the Preferred Partner advisor is the move that gets you the VIP inclusions at the same rate. Book any Four Seasons this way.
The Dior Beach Club
A popup at Sundara, and the best hang of the stay
The thing we did not see coming: the resort's beach club, Sundara, was hosting a Dior popup during our stay. It was as vibey as it sounds, a branded takeover with an adorable pool looking straight out over the bay and the beach, and it turned out to be the most fun we had all week. We had dinner there one night and the food held up, which is not a given at a place selling the scene as hard as the plates. We would have gone back a second night if the stay had run longer.
Our take: Popups come and go, so this exact one may be gone by the time you read this. The point stands: Sundara is the social heart of this resort, and it is worth planning at least one dinner around.
The Villa, and Breakfast
Extensive, and worth getting up for
The resort is all villas, each one private and terraced into the hillside, so you get the beach-resort setting without a crowded lobby scene. Breakfast was the daily high point: extensive and consistently good across the board, the kind of spread that makes you glad the Preferred Partner rate included it. We tested it from both ends of the table, because one of us is vegetarian and one of us eats everything, and it delivered for both of us without anyone having to ask for a workaround.
The Spa
The Healing Village, and a massage that landed
We spent an afternoon at the Healing Village Spa, and the massages were excellent, the kind you are still thinking about the next day. Between the spa here and the treatments up at Sayan, the wellness side of this trip did as much work as the beach did.
What It Actually Cost
Prepaid, with nothing left at the desk
The whole Bali trip, both Four Seasons resorts and all the inclusions, came to US$4,999 for the two of us through the Preferred Partner advisor, before flights. We settled it once, before we left, and walked out of Jimbaran with nothing to sign for. On a Four Seasons beach resort, where incidentals usually stack up fast, checking out with a zero balance on a two-resort trip that ran under five thousand dollars is the clearest proof the booking was set up right.
The Verdict
Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay is the social, beach-club half of a Bali trip, and it pairs perfectly with a few slow nights in the hills first. The Dior popup was the surprise, and the breakfast and spa were the reliable pleasures underneath it.
Book it if: you want beach-and-bay Bali with a real beach club scene, you like a villa resort over a tower, and you will book it through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner for the inclusions.
Look elsewhere if: you want the still, green Bali of the interior, or you would rather be walking distance to town than terraced above a private bay.
Do what we did: pair it with Four Seasons Sayan, book both under one Preferred Partner package, and plan a dinner at Sundara.
